About Us

Consuelo was born in Colombia and grew up in Barbados. After moving to the US, she joined the Air Force and served more than 20 years in the military, retiring in 2003. Her professional experience includes the maintenance and management of fixed and tactical communications systems and information technology networks. Consuelo has traveled the Caribbean, Central and South America, the US, Canada, Europe, Turkey, Korea, and China. She drives and maintains the motor home, and is the primary person for whatever technical stuff needs to be done.

Lynda grew up in Goffstown, New Hampshire and retired in 2010 after serving more than 27 years in the US Air Force. Lynda's military experience includes operations of fixed and tactical communications systems, and she also served as a graphic artist and photographer during military service. Lynda has traveled Europe, the US, Canada, Turkey, and Egypt. She takes care of the dogs and cat, keeps us well "fueled" with her excellent cooking, and reminds Consuelo to relax.

Sydney is our Shepherd-Border Collie mix (or some such concoction) and is convinced Lynda is her mother, or perhaps a minor deity. An avid protector, we pity the person who tries to enter our RV uninvited. Sydney just retired from the sport of Dock Diving and loves to swim and fetch frisbees, balls, sticks, and other toys.

Barley is a German Shepherd-Siberian Husky mix and he is a beauty. He is extremely people friendly but has a special place in his heart for Consuelo. He loves to be outside, getting any and all kinds of exercise and attention. Barley is certified in Tennessee as a therapy dog and has helped cheer up countless people in hospital and nursing homes. Barley gets along very well with Sydney... if she gets out of hand, he puts her in her place and that's the end of it.

Celia is Queen of the Motor Home, she allows us to do what we like, provided her litter box is clean, her food dish is full, and she has received the appropriate amount of attention. She has nothing but contempt for the outside world and so we never worry about her getting lost.
