Earlier today, we visited the
University of California Riverside Botanic Gardens and it was lovely! We spent a couple hours walking around, taking photos, and generally enjoying the gardens and trees.
The University of California Riverside Botanic Gardens is divided into sections, each representing a different climate zone and displaying plants common to that zone. Although we've been in the desert for several weeks and have seen a LOT of desert plants, we still very much enjoyed the Deserts section and saw some plants that were new to us.
Our visit to the Botanic Gardens was time very well spent. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys plants and gardens, even casually. Parking is nearby and inexpensive, and admission is free although donations are encouraged.
